Three optometrists and an optical shop share one office at 4718 3/4 Admiralty Way. An optometrist is the eye doctor you see for exams, glasses and contact lens prescriptions, and the diagnosis and treatment of eye problems such as infections, scratches and dry eye. An ophthalmologist is the eye surgeon, and when an eye needs one, you leave here with a referral. Lenses are cut in our own lab, frames bought anywhere are repaired while you wait, and VSP and EyeMed vision plans are accepted alongside Medicare and Blue Shield medical insurance.

A comprehensive exam measures and refines your prescription and examines the front and back of each eye, with retinal imaging available as an add-on. Children from age 3 and adults are seen.

Daily, monthly, toric and multifocal contact lenses are fitted to the curve of your eye, and you wear trial lenses before the prescription is final.

Red, painful or suddenly blurry eyes are seen the same day, seven days a week. Call (310) 305-2950 first. For a chemical splash or sudden vision loss, go to the emergency room.

Three optometrists see patients at Modo Optometry. Dr. Shahrokh Dayyani has been a Doctor of Optometry since 1994. Dr. Kayla Ueda completed a residency in pediatrics, vision therapy and neuro-optometric rehabilitation, and Dr. Sarah Maasarani a residency in ocular disease at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry. You can choose your doctor by name when you book.

I popped in assuming I was cooked but then Armin Rafiee helped me out and not only quickly fixed it but re-adjusted the frame to fit snugly again.
