An Independent Practice Since 2008

Modo Optometry is an independent optometry practice and optical shop on Admiralty Way in Marina del Rey, caring for patients since 2008. Three optometrists see patients here: Dr. Shahrokh Dayyani, Dr. Kayla Ueda and Dr. Sarah Maasarani.

The doctors handle the medical side of eye care: comprehensive eye exams for adults and children, contact lens exams and fittings, dry eye evaluation, and same-day visits for red, painful or injured eyes. When an eye needs a surgeon, you leave with a referral.

Opticians handle the eyewear. Frames from independent makers in Japan, Denmark and France sit next to the fashion houses, lenses are cut in our own lab, and glasses and sunglasses are fitted on your face. Frames bought anywhere are repaired at the bench, most while you wait.

Lenses Made Here

Lenses are cut and edged in our own lab and checked against your prescription before you see them. Adjustments after you buy are part of owning the glasses.

Open Seven Days

The office is open Monday through Saturday from 10 to 6 and Sunday from 11 to 4, with walk-in repairs and same-day visits for urgent eye problems.
